Research Statement: Multimodal transportation systems analysis; planning and operations; dynamic network modeling and optimization; transit network planning and design; user behavior and telematics; telecommunication-transportation interactions; large-scale human infrastructure systems; real-time operation of logistics and distribution systems. Publications were in most of the areas where we have active research, especially (1) large-scale integrated dynamic network assignment modess; (2) microscopic models of driver behavior and implications for the system's macro properties; (3) incorporating reliability in network planning methods, and (4) pricing models, for both off-line and on-line applications. The publicaton outlets reflect a portfolio approach-- reaching both higher-end scholalrly journals for certain contributions, and a professional audience for others.
