Description

These data are from Wave 1 data collection for the PROMIS Early Childhood (EC) Parent Report measure development and validation study (see Cella, Blackwell, & Wakschlag, 2022 for overview). Wave 1 data were collected via the online survey panel Op4G. The overall aim of Wave 1 data collection was to determine final items to be included in item banks or calibrated scales. Data were collected from n=1,400 parents of children ages 1-5 years (n=700 parents of 1-3-year-olds, n=700 parents of 4-5-year-olds). Due to the number of items being tested, parents were randomly assigned to one of two survey forms, each of which consisted of the PROMIS EC Global Health measure in addition to 5 or 6 additional PROMIS EC instruments. Form A includes: Sleep Disturbance, Sleep-related Impairment, Physical Activity, Family Relationships, Peer Relationships, and Global Health. Form B includes: Depressive Symptoms, Anxiety, Anger/Irritability, Engagement, Self-Regulation, Positive Affect, and Global Health. See Lai et al., 2022 for an overview of the sample and psychometric methods.
