My research interests are centered on the assessment of cardiac function using newer techniques of cardiac deformation (strain). This method allows for earlier recognition of abnormalities in heart function in a variety of congenital and acquired heart disease. I am also interested in studying the best methods to assess pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular function in neonates and children.
My primary interests are in pediatric cardiology and pulmonary hypertension with additional emphasis on pediatric echocardiography. I have specialized interest in evaluating heart function in children with congenital or acquired heart disease using advanced techniques including strain imaging. My research goals lie in assessment of pulmonary hypertension and establishing the best non-invasive measures of heart function in children.
My clinical interests include the inpatient and outpatient care of infants and children with pulmonary hypertension. I am also interested in pediatric echocardiography and its role in diagnosis and management of children with heart disease.
