Research Interests

Currently my research focuses on the development and validation of magnetic resonance imaging techniques for optimal delivery and functional guidance of minimally invasive therapies, early prediction of therapy response, and non-invasive staging of carcinogenesis. My most recent efforts are focused on the development of imaging methods for primary and metastatic tumors of the liver. Our group deliberately emphasizes a bench-to-bedside translational approach to research. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary group of clinical collaborators, methods first developed and validated in phantoms and animal models are rapidly translated to the clinical setting at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
