I completed by fellowship in Neonatology at Northwestern and have been an attending at both Lurie Children's and Prentice Women's Hospital since graduating in 2015. I have a passion for simulation-based education and am part of the faculty in the kidSTAR Medical Education Program at Lurie Children's. I am also actively involved in the Society for Simulation In Healthcare and have recently served on the planning committee for their yearly international meeting.
I am working on developing a comprehensive and collaborative neonatology educational curriculum that meets the educational needs of various levels of learners within our division, as well as the inter-professional teams within both of our neonatal intensive care units. I am particularly interested in creating curricula designed to develop proficiency in neonatal resuscitation and procedures and identify systems processes that require improvement to optimize patient care outcomes and workplace safety culture.
