Research Interests
I am interested in the treatment of spinal column and cord disease, specifically traumatic, degenerative, and neoplastic processes. I am currently investigating the outcomes of people with post-traumatic syringomyelia. In addition, I am studying the effect of surgical treatment on basal energy expenditure in those with lumbar spondylolisthesis. I am a member of the Spine Oncology Study Group, an international multidisciplinary group dedicated to the furthering of our understanding reagrding the care of people with tumors of the spinal column. Lastly, I have a number of studies at present regarding both undergraduate and gradute medical education.
