Research Interests

As a pediatric hematologist I am interested in all blood disorders that affect children. I have a specific interest in taking care of patients with anemias, bleeding problems, white blood cell abnormalities and hemoglobin disorders including sickle cell disease and thalassemia. I have done research on pain in sickle cell disease and I am involved in community outreach and advocacy projects including focusing on blood donations for children with sickle cell disease.

I have an academic interest in sickle cell disease and thalassemia.

I have clinical expertise in hemoglobin disorders and general hematology.
