Personal profile

Research Interests

I am primarily involved in health literacy advocacy, research and incorporation of this into clinical care, as well social determinants of health, particularly in the context of the child with medical complexity. I am the medical director of Lurie Children's Pediatrics-Uptown medical home and am interested in applying my knowledge about these subjects to improve our clinic. As well, medical education of the next generation has been a professional focus of mine through the years. I am a member of the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators for the past two year and am a Core Faculty Member of Lurie Children's Hospital pediatric residency program.
