My primary research interest is the pathophysiology of viral infections in immunocompromised vs. normal hosts. The main virus with which I have worked is Epstein-Barr virus. I am currently performing NIH-funded research currently on post-EBV (chronic) fatigue syndrome.
My primary clinical interest is Virology. The main viruses with which I have worked clinically include adenovirus and the respiratory viruses (respiratory syncitial virus and influenza). I have done clinical research on chronic granulomatous disease and HIV as well.
