Personal profile
Research Interests
I am currently a general internist at Northwestern. I received my MD and MPH degrees from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2012 and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern in 2015. I served as Chief Medical Resident during 2015-2016 and am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
I am interested particularly in transitions of care between the hospital and the clinic and am the co-director of the Complex High Admission Management Program (CHAMP), a clinic caring for medically complex patients who are frequently hospitalized. I am also involved in medical student and resident education, including primary care education and curriculum development. I am involved in the Feinberg Education Centered Medical Home, a longitudinal clinical clerkship for teams of medical students to meaningfully contribute to clinical care.
Clinically, I am interested in general internal medicine, primary care, and preventive care. I believe in active listening, understanding the patient's perspective on their illness, and both treating and proactively preventing disease.
