Research Interests
I have been the Director of Endocrine Surgery at Northwestern Memorial for over 10 years.
Measurement of quality of life. Clinical outcomes for thyroid cancer, hyperparathyroidism, and adrenal tumors including pheochromocytoma and adrenal cancers. Decision analysis, Cost-effectiveness analysis, Database analysis.
My clinical focus is the treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disease. I perform minimally invasive surgery for both conditions. In my office I perform the comprehensive evaluation of thyroid nodules including ultrasound and fine needle aspiration biopsy. I also see patients with a history of thyroid cancer for the evaluation of possible recurrent disease. I have a special interest in Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia.
