Deepa R Nair

My primary interests involve medical student & resident education, care of the acutely ill child & parental education on health maintenance for their children, preventative medicine, and child safety/injury prevention.

My academic focus has been education of medical students, primarily in the clinical setting. I currently serve as the Director of Medical Education in the Urgent Care, Division of Emergency Medicine. I also have been involved with education in the classroom setting for all levels of our medical students (M1 through M4), though courses such as PBL, Health & Society, and PTTP.

My clinical focus has been care of acutely ill children presenting to the Emergency Room. In addition, I am focused on educating families on health maintenance, preventative medicine, and child safety/injury prevention.
