Personal profile

Research Interests

I completed all of my medical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, and have a Masters from the Bloomberg School of Public Health in Epidemiology. My past publications have focused on response to vaccination in patients with chronic kidney disease and post transplantation. Prior to starting fellowship I spent 5 months working at a hospital in Haiti, which fueled my interest in global health, and in particular in Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), a major cause of morbidity and mortality around the work.

I am interested in better recognition of acute kidney injury (AKI) using biomarkers and clinical algorithms, with the goal of both improved treatment as well as prevention of AKI.

My clinical interests include, but are not limited to, acute kidney injury, end stage kidney disease and dialysis, chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome.
