Research Interests

Professor Gulsoy works on developing computational tools for automated image processing and microstructural characterization of large 3D tomographic data sets. She has been working with data sets acquired through automated methods such as serial sectioning via micro-miller, RoboMet.3D and FIB, optical sectioning, x-ray tomography and electron tomography.

She is also the co-founder of 'Tomographers Anonymous' at Northwestern University, a discussion group aiming to initiate and improve communication between researchers collecting, analyzing and modeling 3D tomographic data sets.
