Research Interests

Elizabeth R. Ryan, Ed.D. graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a doctorate degree in Education in May 2006. She has worked in both family medicine and surgical education, holding administrative staff positions in both graduate and undergraduate programs, from April 1995 – February 2006. Dr. Ryan contributed to the Department of Surgery’s redesign of the undergraduate and graduate program curriculum; was an invited member of the Department of Surgery’s Think Tank Consortium; is a Co-Leader for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Community Engagement and Service Competency; is the Teaching Selective Course Director; and the Co-Course Director for Patient Physician and Society IV. Dr. Ryan joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor and the Vice Chair of Education in March 2006.
