My main area of clinical interest is in general cardiology, which includes diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease and evaluation of chest pain, palpitations, syncope/dizziness, and murmurs. I also have an interest and expertise in the use and application of exercise stress testing, especially in patients with congenital heart disease, as well as its use for cardiac rehabilitation.
My involvement in education remains a top priority and is something I truly enjoy. I am involved in the education of medical students, pediatric residents, and cardiology fellows. In regarding to education for the cardiology fellowship, I have a specific interest in training/educating the fellow in exercise physiology and testing. I am also involved in the education of nurses, APN's, and pediatrician through regularly scheduled CME course (such as Pediatric Pearls).
In addition to a busy outpatient practice, where I see a variety of diagnoses, from congenital heart disease to chest pain, I am also involved with the inpatient service at Lurie Children's Hospital. I also provide cardiology consultation and coverage (which includes reading ECGs and echocardiogram's) for Northwester Medicine Central DuPage Hospital.
