Research Interests

Hematology and Oncology, with special interest in Thrombosis and Bleeding Disorders and in Fibrinolysis.

The pathogenesis of hemostatic dysfunction in acute promyelocytic leukemia, investigating the factors involved in intracranial hemorrhage in this disease. Have collaborated with Dr. Andrew Nadiech of Department of Neurology on various aspects of intracranial hemorrhage, including a presently funded RO1 grant on biomarkders for outcome of intracranial hemorrhage, and effectiveness of enhancing platelet function by desmopressin in intracranial hemorrhage.

"Benign Hematology" consultations on all hematologic problems except malignant hematologic disorders, but with special interest in bleeding and thrombosis.
