I am interested in ensuring the health and well-being of all newborns through clinical care. I enjoy supporting our division and hospital's mission to enhance patient care through various administrative roles.
My focus is in health services research, specifically evaluating continuity of care and transitions in medical teams to better understand current practices and how they impact patient outcomes. My primary goal is to better understand what influences family decision making in the NICU, and how continuity of care among the medical team impacts shared decision making with families. Through this research, I hope to identify strategies that can better support families in making difficult decisions. I also am developing telehealth initiatives to support infants at Lurie and throughout Illinois.
I deeply enjoy my clinical work, especially caring for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit. I value working with families prenatally as one of the neonatology consultants for the Institute for Fetal Health. I also am proud to support our community hospital partners through my outreach work.
