Research Interests
Laura A Miller is a prosthetist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and an Assistant Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University, participating in research through the Neural Engineering Center for Artificial Limbs (NECAL). She completed her MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. She has multiple publications in the area of normal gait and lower limb prosthetics. She also has an interest in and has been an author in the area of high-level upper limb prosthetic fittings. Laura is an ABC and Illinois licensed prosthetist and a member of the AAOP and the ISPO.
