Research Interests
Dr. Pool is a social epidemiologist, with a focus on the role of socioeconomic status in the identification and management of cardiovascular risk. Dr. Pool’s research interests include socioeconomic disparities related to macrosocial and environmental context, economic transitions across the life course, and medical cost-related financial hardship. Her research also evaluates the effectiveness of social policy aimed at reducing these disparities.
