Research Interests

Malika Shah is the Medical Director of the Newborn Nursery at Prentice Women’s Hospital, Northwestern Medicine an Attending Neonatologist in the NICU's at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Prentice Women's Hospital. She also sees NICU graduates in the Lurie Cardiac and Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up Clinic.

My clinical focus includes optimizing care for newborns, both well and critically ill, and insuring long-term neurodevelopmental needs are met

My academic focus includes medical education, quality improvement, and policy development.
