Research Interests

Much of her work has centered on preventing cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). For the past decade she has investigated uptake of a vaccine to prevent HPV infection and is particularly interested in developing interventions for populations experiencing health disparities such as racial/ethnic minorities and sexual and gender minorities.

Research Interests

As a social health psychologist, my research aims to understand and encourage health protective behavior. My primary interests are health messaging and cancer prevention behavior (e.g., screening, diet, tobacco). Much of my work has centered on preventing cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). For the past decade I have investigated uptake of a vaccine to prevent HPV infection. I am particularly interested in developing interventions for populations experiencing health disparities such as racial/ethnic minorities and sexual and gender minorities.
