Personal profile

Research Interests

In-patient community pediatrics

As a member of the Division of Hospital-Based Medicine at Lurie's, I have the privilege of taking care of children who require hospitalization. Conditions that I treat on a regular basis include but are not limited to asthma, urinary tract infections, jaundice, skin and bone infections. In addition, we attend high risk deliveries and we provide care to our healthy newborns. As a hospitalist, I work closely with our community pediatricians, ER physicians and OB colleagues to ensure that we are providing the best care possible to our young patients. Staying in the hospital is undoubtedly a stressful and scary experience for everyone involved. The most rewarding part of my job is easing that burden by maintaining close and personal communications with the family. I treat my pediatric patients the way I would want another healthcare worker to treat one of my own kids.
