Personal profile

Research Interests

My interests focus on software/system architecture, programming, and strategic leadership in technical matters related to information systems and electronic health record integration. I have significant experience in web-based applications, as well as other electronic data capture methods. I am the principal architect/programmer of the PROMIS Assessment Center application, an online research management tool that enables researchers to create study-specific Web sites for capturing participant data securely. For Assessment Center, I developed the secure data synchronization process using form authentication, data encryption and digital certificates for data security, the import/export process, implementation of CAT algorithms. Other products I have developed include the Assessment Center Lite and API, products that can be embedded into patient-facing portals or system for the purpose of collection PRO data.
