Professor Mazzeo's research focuses on empirical industrial organization, in particular the role of differentiation and product choice in firm strategy and market competition. His work has focused on developing new statistical methodologies for examining the role of product differentiation in markets, and quantifying these effects in studies of a variety of industries.
