Research Interests
I am a clinician educator. My interests are to continue clinical practice with lifelong refinements. My expertise is in echocardiography and exercise cardiology along with outpatient pediatric cardiology. My goal is to combine my clinical interests and expertise with my interest in education (teaching of trainees, and improving education methods).
1. Pediatric echocardiography from a clinical and educational/academic aspect; a. Clinical education of trainees and sonographers in echocardiography and mentoring junior faculty; b. Clinical use of echocardiography (eg. point of care ultrasound - pocus in echocardiography. 2. Exercise in pediatric cardiovascular disease from a clinical and educational/academic aspect; a.Fellow education in exercise - test interpretation, restriction/prescription; b. Clinical use of exercise - interpretation, restriction/prescription (rehab). 3. Faculty clinical development in cardiology
General (outpatient) pediatric cardiology, echocardiography, and exercise cardiology. Clinical improvement. Specifically: 1. Transitions from pediatric to adult cardiac care. 2. Improvement of clinical skills.
