Personal profile

Research Interests

I and the motility team at Lurie Children's plan to build sound prospective clinical research projects related to GI motility disorders with a strong focus on disorders of the esophagus such as ineffective swallowing, gastroesophageal reflux, and achalasia.

My medical career to date has fostered a progressive interest in pediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, gastrointestinal (GI) motility, and disorders of brain-gut interaction. Though my training has combined laboratory-based and clinical research, educational initiatives, and quality improvement projects, my primary focus now lies in the clinical care and research of gastrointestinal motility disorders.

My work at Lurie Children's includes practice in both general pediatric gastroenterology as well as advanced training in GI motility disorders.
