Research Interests
My research interest lies in identification and characterization of cell surface carbohydrates and proteins required for herpes simplex virus (HSV) viral entry and cell fusion. I have been focusing on glycoprotein B (gB) and gL, two of four glycoproteins essential for HSV entry and cell fusion. I have been studying the interaction between gB and gB entry receptor, paired immunoglobulin like-type 2 receptor (PILRa). I am also interested in the interactions among gB, gD, gH and gL.
