Personal profile

Research Interests

I am a certified and licensed prosthetist working at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) in the Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinical Center. I am also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Feinberg School of Medicine and Clinical Instructor at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center.

My primary focus as an instructor is in the Clinical Biomechanics Course for the students enrolled in the Master's Program at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center. The coursework is intended to immerse students into the applications of prostheses and orthoses, to the human body and their effects on correction, substitution, function and gait.

My clinical focus is broad within the field of Prosthetics. I have worked with individuals of all ages and on prostheses of all levels. At the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, we have a strong history of fitting upper limb prostheses. This is one of our specialties that differentiates our practice from others. We also see individuals with lower limb amputations routinely, as this is the largest patient population of individuals in need of prosthetic services.
