Research Interests

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences & Northwestern University Prosthetics & Orthotics Center. My job has 3 components: 1. Teaching: Instructor of Gross Anatomy, Neuroscience, Physiology and Clinical Skills for 2 graduate programs. I also teach for the School of Professional Studies (undergraduates) and I hold a visiting professor appointment with Rocky Mountain University in Utah, and Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft Myers, Florida. 2. Research: I conduct research in the area of biomechanics of the lower extremity for individuals post stroke to prevent falls and improve their walking ability. 3. Service: I serve in the admissions committee, at multiple national searches, work in recruitment & retention of students, and promote diversity of our student body by reaching out to underserved areas in Chicago introducing physical therapy as a great healthcare career option.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences (PTHMS); a core faculty member for the DPT Program. I teach in gross anatomy, neuroanatomy and clinical science courses. I also coordinate Physiology I. Additionally I am the course director of anatomy at NUPOC (Northwestern University Prosthetics and Orthotics Center).
