Research Interests
Dr. Lever is an academic pediatric hospitalist. She is a member of the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME), an honor society recognizing outstanding teaching. She is currently training with a national cohort of pediatric hospitalist-educators as part of the Advancing Pediatric Educator Excellence (APEX) program.
Dr. Lever's academic interests include resident and medical student education, child advocacy, and health literacy. She directs the Pediatric Residency Advocacy Certificate Program. She is also the Assistant Lead for the Feinberg School of Medicine "Health & Society" Element. She serves on the Lurie Chlldren's Health Literacy Committee.
Dr. Lever cares for patients on the general pediatric inpatient service at Lurie Children's as well as healthy newborn infants at Prentice Women's Hospital. She also provides Convenient Care services and procedural sedation for MRI at the Lurie Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park. She volunteers as a primary care provider at the non-profit Chicago Youth Programs clinic in Lincoln Park.
