Research Interests
Dr. Sachdev specializes in the treatment of brain and spine tumors (benign, malignant, or metastatic) as well as genitourinary (prostate and bladder) cancers. He is actively involved in translational research and bringing novel therapeutics to the clinic. He has an interest in synergistic approaches utilizing highly-conformal image-guided radiotherapy.
Central Nervous System: Dr. Sachdev focuses on benign and malignant brain tumors, brain metastases, spinal cord tumors and vascular lesions (AVMs). He has expertise in the use of GammaKnife/stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), spine stereotactic radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT) and image-guided highly-conformal radiotherapy. Genitourinary: Dr. Sachdev focuses on prostate and bladder/urothelial cancers utilizing image-guided conformal dose-escalated radiotherapy for improved outcomes and better normal structure sparing. He has interest in the use of stereotactic radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT) for treatment of oligo-metastatic disease. He also maintains an interest in bladder preservation strategies that employ concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy in carefully selected patients.
