Research Interests
Professor West studies, teaches, and thinks about early modern drama, poetry, and prose. He is currently at work on a book called "Understanding and Confusion in the Elizabethan Playhouses," as well as on projects exploring the global history of the European Renaissance, and receptions of the Renaissance in Poliziano, Burckhardt, Warburg, and others.
