Personal profile
Research Interests
Dr. Zheng’s research focuses on identifying epigenomic biomarkers linking environmental exposures and lifestyle behaviors (including air pollution, diet, and physical activity) with various aging-related disease development (including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and dementia) using data generated from population cohorts and clinical trials. Dr. Zheng specializes in developing bioinformatics software for high-dimensional epigenomic data and conducting bioinformatics analysis using omics/systems biology-based approaches. His recent work has begun to explore the role of methylation in cardiovascular risks/diseases and in virus-associated cancers.
