Description
Program objective: to obtain funding to support a fellowship in movement disorders
Program Objectives:
1. To train highly skilled movement disorders neurologists in the recognition, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with movement disorders.
2. To provide training in research through participation in ongoing trials in the movement disorders
Program curriculum:
During fellowship the trainees will:
1. Get experience in evaluation and management of a wide spectrum of movement disorders
2. Get training in botulinum toxin injections
3. Get training in selection, evaluation and surgical treatment (including programming) of movement disorders
4. Get training in performance and interpretation of intraoperative single cell recordings
5. Participate in clinical research involving experimental pharmacological management of movement disorders
6. Get training in clinical trials design and conduct
