My research group applies the tools of coordination chemistry to the synthesis of functional inorganic molecules and materials, in particular those with interesting or unusual electronic structures. Our three main areas of interest are (1) the synthesis of redox-active molecule-based magnets, (2) the synthesis of responsive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents, and (3) the isolation of reactive chemical species in metal-organic frameworks.
