Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

We propose to partially fund the one week conference “41st Stochastic Processes and their Applications”, which will be held in July, 15th-19th, 2019 at the Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, USA. The local organizers of the conference are Antonio Auffinger (Northwestern University) and Greg Lawler (University of Chicago). This conference, which is sponsored by the Bernoulli Society, is the largest annual meeting in probability theory. Based on the attendance of previous conferences, we expect an attendance of at least three hundred participants and possibly more with the attractive location. This proposal requests partial financial support of US plenary speakers and accommodations for US based graduate students and young scholars. Northwestern University was selected after a bid against other universities in a contest decided by the SPA scientific committee.
