A Nanofiber Scaffold as an Improved Carrier for Ultra Low-dose RhBMP-2 Delivery

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This work will compare a control ACS sponge, an ACS sponge soaked with BMP-2-Binding Nanofibers, a non-specific (non-BMP-2-binding) NanoSlurry, and a BMP-2-binding NanoSlurry for delivery of ultra low dose rhBMP-2 in the rabbit PLF model (10ug rhBMP-2 per animal). Outcome measures will include serial radiography, fusion scoring via manual palpation, and quantification of new bone formation by microCT.
