Description

For the project, “A Pilot Clinical Trial to Assess the Effect of Transfemoral Socket Design on Hip Muscle Function,” Northwestern University will be responsible providing sub-ischial prosthetic sockets for the 8 subjects involved in Aim 2. Dr. Fatone will lead and be responsible for all aspects of the project at Northwestern University, including managing IRB and subaward finances, and contributing to regular project meetings with the PI, technical reports, data analysis and interpretation, and publications and presentations. If funded, Mr. Caldwell will continue his appointment with Northwestern University in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for one day per week for the project period. As the lead prosthetist on this project, Mr. Caldwell will undertake all the work required to fabricate, fit and maintain sockets for the 42 week duration of study participation by each participant.
