Project Details
Description
The overall objectives of this project are (1) to develop a scalable and cost-effective coating process by means of electrophoretic deposition (EPD), to achieve dense barrier layer that can significantly improve both stability and performance of SOFC cathodes; and (2) to systematically investigate the interaction between doped ceria barrier layers with SOFC cathodes, and its effects on oxygen reduction and reaction (ORR) kinetics, electrochemical performance, and long-term stability of these cathodes, and thus to achieve optimizing barrier layer composition and thickness.
