Description
Dr. Palella is the protocol co-chair of ACTG 5322 and he will continue in this role during the funding period of this proposal. The protocol team meets by teleconference twice and these calls are co-chaired by Dr. Palella. During the month, Dr. Palella reviews protocol data collected, has helped design the instruments for data collection from the various participating sites, and advises and assists in data analysis and interpretation. In addition, Dr. Palella participates in the review of submitted concepts seeking to utilize data and biological specimens collected in A5322, and participates in the oversight of the specimen repository. He will also chair co-chair face-to-face meetings of the A5322 protocol team as needed and at all group ACTG General Meetings (minimum 1 per year) and Scientific Retreats.
