Allergy Guidelines Assessment Parent Survey

Dr. Lucy Bilaver will contribute to the work of the prime grantee Rho Federal Systems Division. Dr. Bilaver will contribute to the project activities related to survey development, implementation, database management, and statistical analysis. Specific project activities are described below. Project Activities for Dr. Bilaver Dr. Bilaver agrees to work on the following: • Survey Development Period  Participate in a 1-hour teleconference per week—provide study design and logistical input.  Review and develop documents in preparation for the weekly teleconference.  Oversee submission of the Pediatrician and Allergist Surveys to the Lurie Children’s IRB (as a single submission).  Supervise the pilot test of the Pediatrician and Allergists Surveys among a small group of providers associated with Lurie Children's Hospital or surrounding private practices. • Online Survey Implementation Period  Participate in a biweekly, 1-hour teleconference per week.  Review documents in preparation for the biweekly teleconference. • Database Management Period  Participate in a biweekly, 1-hour teleconference per week.  Review documents in preparation for the biweekly teleconference. • Statistical Analysis Period  Participate in a 1-hour teleconference per week.  Review and prepare documents in preparation for the weekly teleconference.  Participate in a 2-day, face-to-face meeting at Rho for a review of results. Outcomes This project will lead to the implementation and analysis of survey data capturing pediatrician and allergist perceptions of new guidelines around the introduction of peanut-containing products during infancy. The findings from this survey will be used to inform policy and procedures to improve guideline adherence.
