Description
The project aims to provide a broad, book-length study of the Epistulae Morales or Moral Letters (henceforth EM) of the Roman statesman and philosopher Seneca (c. 5 BCE – 65 CE). Such a study does not, surprisingly, currently exist in English; scholarly attention to this large and diverse collection of letters has largely focused on individual letters and themes.
