Always-on Imperceptible Infant Monitoring (AIIM) in KMC

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The Rogers lab, in Phase I, will develop prototypes of the Always-on Imperceptible Infant Monitoring (AIIM) system that measure key physiological signals while tracking Kangaroo Mother Care. We will test the AIIM system using simulated physiological waveforms (for ECG and heart rate) and benchtop test inertial and optical stages coupled to phantom skin to verify the quality of data streams. No human subject testing will occur at Northwestern as the Rogers’ lab will fabricate the AIIM systems and provide them to Lurie Children’s Hospital for human use feasibility testing.”
