Description

Uveitis is a sight-threatening inflammatory disease with various etiologies. White blood cell migration into the anterior chamber (AC) is a vital sign of uveitis and cell classification is crucial to the diagnosis of uveitis. Compared to the traditional method which requires an invasive AC aqueous humor aspiration, vis-OCT is a non-invasive and repeatable imaging modality with micrometer level resolution, with the potency to classify AC cells in vivo. Our project aims to investigate the statistical model for classifying WBC by vis-OCT, and ultimately, we aim to develop a new technique for AC cell classification which will benefit clinicians and patients by assisting the diagnosis and monitoring of uveitis.
