Project Details
Description
Koch will lead the theoretical efforts of the proposed research on Error Protection in Superconducting Circuits. These efforts will include the development of the theoretical framework and numerical tools for the quantitative prediction of device properties and performance, and for optimizing circuit parameters accordingly. Koch’s theoretical studies will also provide direct support for the experimental efforts by detailed simulation of experimental data obtained at Princeton University and the University of Chicago. Calculations carried out in Koch’s group will be based on techniques such as exact diagonalization, solution of Lindblad master equations, and sampling of stochastic quantum trajectories.
