Biological Imaging Using Entangled Photons

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Schatz and his student and postdoc will work on theory and computational work related to the project. Theory studies will focus on deriving formulas for the ETPA cross sections, for light sources that are being developed at the partner institutions. The computational work will have two components: fundamental theory of excited state dynamics for flavins and other molecules after excitation with two entangled photons, and electronic structure studies to determine ETPA cross sections using the SLR method.
