Biomechanical Strength of Fibular Nails Versus Locked Plating in Comminuted Weber type C Distal Fibula Fractures.

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The specific aim of this project is to evaluate whether fixation of a comminuted weber type C fibula frature wtih a fibular nail is biomechanically equivalent or superior when compared to bridge plaing wtih a distal fibular locking plate. We hypothesize that a fibular nail will provide a biomechanically equivalent or superor construct when copared to a lateral locking plate in comminuted Weber type C fibula fractures.
