Biophysical Studies of Metalloenzymes

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This program has a long record of developing and applying EPR/ENDOR (electron-nuclear double resonance) techniques to the solution of central problems in metallobiochemistry, and in the current period these have been complemented by photophysical and mass-spectrometric techniques, and by enzyme-kinetic analyses. This proposal applies these approaches to our ongoing study of nitrogenase and a return to the study of Cu enzymes, here the mono-copper monooxygenases.
