Bringing Gravitational Wave Astronomy to Light: Chandra X-ray Localization of LIGO-Virgo GW Sources

The three Co-Investigators (Kalogera, Haggard, and Gehrels) will work collectively to interpret the signal from any EM counterpart to a gravitational wave candidate. These three authors will also mentor graduate student members in appropriate data handling and composition of any and all manuscripts arising from this study. They will also promote and mentor junior members of their teams in submission and presentation of their work in professional journals and topical conferences.
